This module provides an overview of the construction and function of various transformers installed in wind turbines. Participants are taught to carry out maintenance and cleaning work on transformers. Attention is drawn to the dangers involved in working on thee systems. Only persons authorised to switch in accordance with BGV A3 and VDE 0105 are permitted to switch transformers on and off. The person with switching authorisation must supervise all work on the spot.
